advent tree – ELCA Good Gifts

ELCA Good Gifts provides more than 50 different gift-giving options that grow the church, fight hunger and transform lives. These gifts, starting at just $10, provide direct support for the churchwide ministries of the ELCA.

During Advent we  invited people to select an ornament from our Advent tree in the narthex and make a donation in that amount.  We also had our “Noisy Offering” during Advent and  collected loose change for World Hunger.  The change will be added to our Lenten noisy offerings and brought to the Synod Assembly this spring.

Come to enjoy good food, visit with your neighbors, and meet other people from the community!  The location for the meal each month is St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Baraga; next to Bay Ambulance.  The first dinner, sponsored by St. Vincent DePaul, will be on

Sunday, November 13th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm

– All are welcome!

Holy Cross will be sponsoring the February dinner – more information coming soon…

thank you!!! 🙂

To the members of our congregation who participated –  for your  donations to a special collection for the Women’s Shelter Home.  Through your generous giving a client at the shelter home was able to purchase much needed auto insurance so she was able to travel to work and back.  Much appreciation from many people to make that a possibility!
