This is Christ’s church.

There is a place for you here. We are an active church in our community and in our world that shares a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. Liberated by our faith, we embrace you as a whole person — questions, complexities and all.

Join us as we do God’s work in Christ’s name for the life of the world.

Past Events . . .

Thank You!!!  To everyone who participated in our Chili, Chocolate, and Chances Fundraiser in April!  From the planning stages, our chili cooks, our chocolate dessert makers, to those who donated for our basket raffle, to those who visited local businesses for donations, to the kitchen and clean up crew – we appreciate all of you!!!!   The fundraiser was a huge success as well as a lot of fun – much appreciation!  🙂

In May we had our Annual Women’s Banquet – “Why a Lighthouse”?   We gathered together with many women from our community,  from all denominations,  to enjoy an excellent meal and conversation!  Thanks to Sue Wilson for organizing this event every year and for her special message!  Thanks to Pat Westman for planning, shopping, and preparing the meal – along with all the other women who help in the kitchen!

“Let’s Eat!” III
2nd Sunday of Every Month from 4:00 – 6:00 pm
St. Ann’s Catholic Church

The free inter-community meal that began in Chassell and spread to Hancock, Baraga, and Mass City has received a grant from the Portage Health Foundation of $15,870.00 to help offset sponsor costs.

Sponsors for Baraga County have been St Vincent De Paul, Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, Pettibone, Certainteed, Pat’s Foods, Larry’s Market, Jacobson’s Funeral Home, Besse Forest Products, Holy Cross, United Lutheran, and Mission United.    We have truly been blessed to be a part of this rewarding experience working alongside our brothers and sisters in providing nutrition, inclusion, and socialization for our community.  Details are posted in the narthex  – help is much appreciated with food prep, cooking, serving, or clean up; the hours   are divided into time slots – it is not necessary to be at the event all day, or every month – please consider taking a couple hours every other month or two to participate in this ministry.  All of our efforts – working together – will bring continued success in offering this meal and fellowship opportunity to  our community!  Thanks in advance for all you do!
